How GlutenFreeMap Lists Work

GlutenFreeMap uses a simple, transparent approach to managing and sharing lists of gluten-free venues. Here’s what you need to know:

What is a List?

A "list" is simply a collection of gluten-free places (like restaurants, bakeries, or shops) that you want to share with others. You can add details such as the name, address, and any special notes about each venue.

How Do I Manage My List?

The GlutenFreeMap app provides simple forms to add, edit, or remove places from your list. Whenever you make a change, GlutenFreeMap updates your list automatically in the app and on the website.

Who Can See My List?

  • If you choose to make your list public, it will appear in the GlutenFreeMap app and website for everyone to use.
  • If you prefer to keep your list private, only you (or your organization) will be able to see it, unless you decide to share it later.

How Are Lists Used?

  • Public lists are shown in the GlutenFreeMap web app and the Android app, so people can easily find gluten-free venues in your area.
  • People can browse your list, see details about each place, and open the location in their favourite map app.
  • If you have a website, you can also show your list there by embedding GlutenFreeMap.

About embedding

If you just want to show an existing list on your website, you don't need to create your own list. Refer to embedding GlutenFreeMap to see how to do it.
